Juliet Fellows – Acupuncturist

Professional Qualifications

I am an acupuncturist with 27 years of experience having gained a licentiateship in acupuncture from the College Of Traditional Acupuncture, Warwick in 1996 after 3 years of training. I trained as a general nurse (RGN) gaining 10 years of experience at Worcester Royal Hospital, working in general surgery, gynaecology and sexual health.

I am a fully accredited member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC); the body that represents professional acupuncturists. We are governed by a strict code of ethics and professional practice. As a member, I am committed to continuing my professional development through ongoing training and research.

This year I have become joint co-ordinator of our local Worcestershire Regional Acupuncture Group. This group meets regularly to undertake continuing professional development and provide support for fellow practitioners.

Areas of Special Interest

I have a special interest in women’s reproductive health; fertility and IVF support.  I have also seen many women with menopausal symptoms e.g. hot flushes, migraines and insomnia.

In 2010 I completed an “Acupuncture in Obstetrics” course which is the foundation program for membership to the Acupuncture For Childbirth Team.

Work Ethos

To allow each patient to be the “best they can be”. I believe that our physical health is intrinsically linked to our mental and emotional well-being so it is often necessary to look at all three levels to achieve good health.

I believe in empowering each patient by giving them information and advice on how to overcome their illness. This can be in the form of exercise, dietary advice or by referrals to other complementary therapists or western medical practitioners.
